They take place in the world of Therreth, characterized by soft magic and politico-religious tension. Erika Sato was born and raised in the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. She writes for other former “Blessed Children,” ex-vangelicals, purity culture survivors, and people deconstructing high-control religions. Her work is particularly inspired by bell hooks and Brené Brown.
